Who I am
I'm Yann Beaujeault-Taudière, a quantum educator, consultant and scientist based
near Paris, France.
I've spent the last 7+ years in research and higher education, developing novel methods and quantum algorithms, designing
courses, and mentoring students. Since 2024, I have also been helping institutions build their quantum capacity and navigate the quantum
landscape. My work sits at the intersection of quantum algorithms, real-world
applications, and pedagogy; because I believe quantum computing should be taught
like it's meant to be used: clearly, practically, and with purpose.
Why I do this
I started teaching because I saw how intimidating complex, cutting-edge concepts can be, even for bright and motivated audiences. My goal is to cut through the jargon and lower the intimidation factor, replacing confusion with clarity, confidence and curiosity. Whether I'm designing a university curriculum, consulting on a quantum strategy, or mentoring hackathon teams, I focus on one thing: equipping people with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.
What I bring
I combine:- 7+ years in higher education: teaching, designing curricula, and mentoring students
- Deep expertise in quantum algorithms, from foundations to advanced topics (many-body, optimisation, QML)
- Extensive expertise in quantum applications, helping clients identify realistic and impactful use-cases
- Hands-on experience in hackathons, mentoring teams to build real and meaningful quantum solutions
- Consulting mindset, helping companies define their quantum roadmap, chose tools, and measure impact
Outside of quantum
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and exploring plant life and ecosystems, as well as thinking about sustainable design. One of my side projects involves designing a low-energy home using renewable materials, even if time to work on it comes and goes. I’ve recently started learning French sign language, and I also enjoy playing chess occasionally.
